After the confession of his 13-year-old daughter, it's the father's turn to crack.

Some time before the attack on the history and geography professor of Yvelines Samuel Paty, the teenager had accused him of Islamophobia.

The 13-year-old, who accused the murdered history and geography professor of Islamophobia days before he was violently murdered, went back on her words.

Her father, who had shared the words of his daughter on social networks, is indicted for complicity in the murder.

He also returned to his version in front of the investigators. 

"I was stupid, stupid. I owe the truth to this family, to Mr. Paty, to all of France," repented of the girl's father.

More than a month ago, during a new questioning in front of the judge, he repented, finally explaining "that he did not give a damn about the cartoons presented by Samuel Paty in his class".

He would have become angry "because of the two days of exclusion suffered by his daughter".

Explanations which "do not provide the keys to understanding"

Explanations that master Virginie Leroy, lawyer for the family of Samuel Paty, qualifies as "light and circumstantial".

For her, this father "cannot take refuge behind the alleged anger that this exclusion decision would have generated by shifting the responsibility to Samuel Paty".

Before concluding: "the explanations that are provided today are not up to the fierceness that was implemented against Samuel Paty and do not provide the keys to understanding."

The teenager's father added that he wanted to behave like a good father, adding that he did not think his messages would be read by terrorists.

He notably compared the professor of history and geography to Hitler.

He has been held in Fresnes prison since his indictment, four and a half months ago.
