The government has so far come up with a variety of regulations to prevent holding multiple houses for speculation purposes.

And when appointing or electing public officials, we also verify how many houses this candidate owns.

However, the family of the mayor of Uiwang in Gyeonggi-do is showing a very different appearance.

It turns out that for a long time, it has focused on real estate transactions that are close to speculation.

We covered what happened.

It is a cluster of row houses in Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do.

After the maintenance plan was established in 2013, this place was on the web for reconstruction.

Inquiries from outsiders who were aiming for the right to sell new apartments continued, and more than 300 outsiders bought the housing in the area.

[Village residents: Here.

From my perspective, even 5% of (residents) cannot move in.

(Resident) The large support is usually 9 pyeong.

What you can get here...

] As

a result of the SBS interview, among the outsiders, Mr. Cha Mo, the wife of Mayor Kim Sang-don, and the second son were included.

They each have their own home, but in April of last year, they bought a home under a joint name for 160 million won.

Mr. Cha's older sister also bought a house.

And four months later, the area was designated as a reconstruction maintenance area.

[Neighboring real estate agent: Honestly, it's a bit bad for homeless people to come in here and live.

So, whether you invest and rebuild and leave a price difference next time...

]

I went to the house purchased by the family of Uiwang Market.

Tenants live on monthly rent.

[Tenant: (Do you have car OO?) No.

I live with my husband and daughter.] I

doubt that I bought it for speculation purposes.

The purchase of the family members of the Mayor of Uiwang was right after the general election in April of last year, when the Democratic Party received a pledge to sell the rest of the house in addition to one house.

Uiwang Mayor Kim Sang-don said that he would sell the house, saying that he had bought a house owned by his wife's older sister and did not realize that they would become multi-homed.

The real estate finance of the Uiwang Mayor Kim Sang-don family has been around for a long time.

In 2004, the mayor's wife bought a row house in Anyang City for 63 million won and rented it.

Four years later, in 2008, when the redevelopment project license price or price nearly doubled, the following year, it was handed over to the 19-year-old eldest son for about 120 million won.

The house the eldest son inherited was redeveloped in 2016, and the eldest son sold the right to sell a new apartment for 470 million won.

[Neighboring real estate agent: It has risen a lot.

It keeps rising even now.] That

's not all.

As soon as the eldest son in his twenties sells the right to sell the apartment, he buys a multi-family house in Am-dong, Uiwang-si, and continues to invest in redevelopment by paying rent.

In the redevelopment area, not only the eldest son has a home.

In 2009, when he was 17 years old, the second son bought and owned a multi-family house for 80 million won in the morning.

When Uiwang Mayor Kim Sang-don reported the property of a public official in the previous year, the second son's property was about 1 million won.

The houses of the eldest son and the second son are located in the same redevelopment area, which is a 10-minute walk away, but unfortunately in December of last year, the redevelopment project was approved in this area.

Large-scale apartments of over 3,000 households are expected to be built, resulting in significant market gains.

Mayor Kim has been a member of the Uiwang City Council since 2002 and a member of the Gyeonggi Council since 2014, and from 2018 to the present, he is the mayor of Uiwang with the right to redevelopment licenses.

Two sons each bought a house during the city council and the provincial council, and redevelopment was approved during the mayor's days.

There is a potential conflict of interest.

Regarding this, Mayor Kim explained, "I prepared a small house for my two sons and paid a gift tax." "The mayor has the right to redevelopment licenses, but it is not possible to give preferential treatment to a specific person."
