According to the quarantine authorities, Mr. A in his 50s was found collapsed in the bathroom of a hospital in Gimcheon at the dawn of today (5th), and he was transferred to an intensive care unit at another hospital for treatment.
Mr. A received the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine at the hospital he was hospitalized at about 9:30 a.m. yesterday and is said to have an underlying disease.
Earlier, on the 3rd, a patient in a nursing hospital in Qingdao, in her 50s, showed symptoms of shock after receiving the AZ vaccine, but recovered after receiving treatment.
Currently, 12 adverse reactions have been reported in Gyeongbuk.
Except for the two cases in Gimcheon and Qingdao, all others are mild.
