Gyeonggi Province announced that two reports of severe abnormalities were received in Gyeonggi-do yesterday (on the 2nd), the fifth day of the Corona 19 vaccination.

This is the first time a case of adverse reactions has been reported since vaccination began on the 26th of last month.

An official from the Gyeonggi-do health authority said, "One man in his 50s and one man in his 60s who received AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccination at two nursing hospitals in the province showed signs of decreased blood pressure and systemic helplessness after vaccination. "I said.

He said, "A man in his 50s who was vaccinated at a nursing hospital in Uijeongbu showed signs of speech discomfort, headache, and general weakness about 20 minutes after vaccination, and was transferred to a nearby hospital after on-site measures, and now it is understood that it has improved."

He also explained, "A man in his 60s who received vaccination at a nursing hospital in Pyeongtaek developed a fever one day after vaccination and had symptoms of lowering blood pressure in his entire body muscle pain.

Both men who reported adverse reactions were identified as hospitalized patients with an underlying disease.

Men who reported adverse reactions in Uijeongbu had high blood pressure and diabetes, and men reported in Pyeongtaek had a history of cerebrovascular disease, Gyeonggi-do health authorities said.

A Gyeonggi-do official said, "The final results of the epidemiological investigation by the Provincial Rapid Response Team have not yet come out, but in terms of symptoms so far, the two cases are considered to be less related to anaphylaxis (acute severe allergic reaction to vaccine constituents)."

According to the Central Defense Response Headquarters, there have been 156 reports of adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine from the start of vaccination on the 26th of last month until yesterday, all of which have been confirmed as mild cases that can be common after vaccination.
