Over 50 additional reports of adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccination were received within a day.

According to the Central Defense Response Headquarters (Bang Daebon) today (3rd), the number of adverse reactions reported yesterday was 51, all of whom were AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccinations.

In particular, three of them were classified as'anaphylaxis' cases with symptoms such as shortness of breath and urticaria within 2 hours after vaccination.

However, this is different from anaphylaxis, which is actually a severe systemic allergic reaction, explained Bang Dae-bon.

Anaphylactoid reaction is known to correspond to cases where symptoms are similar to that of anaphylaxis, but there is insufficient evidence of an immune response (if the presence of IgE antibodies that respond to allergens is not proven).

In addition to these 3 cases, all other new adverse reaction reports were mild cases.

Since the start of vaccination on the 26th of last month, including 51 new cases, the cumulative adverse reactions increased to 207 cases.

As of today's 0 o'clock, it accounted for 0.24% of all 87,000,428 vaccinated people.

Of these, 206 are related to the AstraZeneca vaccine, and the other is related to the Pfizer vaccine.
