<Anchor> When

watching a movie set in the background of the Japanese occupation,'Shinheung Military School' often appears.

It was a place where the independence army was trained, and in fact, the graduates of the Shinheung Military Academy formed the main pillar of the Liberation Army.

There are seven people in the Liberation Army who devoted their youth to the independence of their country, but reporter Im Sang-beom met and listened to their stories.

<Reporter>

[During the movie'Assassination': You came to Shinheung Military Academy, right?

(Yes) You left a blood certificate when you graduated. (I'm from Shinheungmugwan School)]

Shinheungmugwan School opened 110 years ago in Seogando, Manchuria.

As the cradle of training the independence army, the news of Shinheung Military School was a popular article in the Independence Newspaper.

And in 1940, the Liberation Army was founded, and a large number of people from Shinheung Military Academy participated, including General Jicheongcheon, who was the commander-in-chief.

Many of the victories that appeared in history books and made into movies were achieved at this time.

Each house has a Korean flag.

It is a rental apartment where people of independence merit live.

Governor Lee Young-soo from Gwangbok-gun lives here.

Governor Lee volunteered to join the Liberation Army at the age of 20 and was in charge of delivering military funds and fighting against it.

[Lee Young-soo / Patriotic Governor (Activity in the 3rd zone of Liberation Army): If they say they come to catch them, they bury a mine in the basement in advance.

I had a lot of battles with Japanese guys on the way back.]

For his wife, Hong Bong-ok, the honeymoon was the independence movement.

[Mrs. Hong Bong-ok: The patient is in a hurry, so go see me and see the patient.

I don't know, but I'm an independent army.]

Lee Jun-sik, the only grandson of General Ji Cheong-cheon, the general commander of the Liberation Army.

Although I have regarded the descendant of the Liberation Army as an honor for my whole life, I am confused about this March 1st verse.

This is because there are many sayings that treat anti-Japanese armed groups as terrorists or demean the descendants of independence merit not only in foreign countries but also in Korea.

[Lee Jun-sik/Former Director of the Independence Hall (Ji Cheong-cheon's only grandson): To undermine the independence movement is to deny the identity of the Republic of Korea.

I can't

stop my

anger at the voices of such people coming out and some people show a move to sympathize with it.]

Woo-cheol Lim, who is over 100 years old, regrets the failure to liquidate pro-Japanese.

[Lim Woo-cheol / Patriot Governor (102 years old): If we get down on our knees, we won't be able to get up again.

It's because the pro-Japanese liquidation wasn't done.]

Most families of independence merit are suffering from life hardships.

In fact, there are 17,000 descendants, up to the three generations of independence merit living in Seoul, and 74.2% of them were the poorest or the second-class, with a monthly income of less than 2 million won.

[Bang Hak-Jin/Director of Planning Office of the Institute for National Affairs: Right after the establishment of the Korean government, the'original sin' in which courtesy and veteran policies for independence activists were not concentrated, so the situation where descendants are unable to escape from the wheel of poverty is still repeating. ]

The third verse that came again.

Even if we are sorry for the neglect of our society, we never regret the independence movement.

[Mrs. Hong Bong-ok: If we come to the same position in the old Japanese era, will we still do the independence movement?]

[Lee Young-soo / Patriotic Governor (Activity in Liberation Army 3rd Zone): That's it.

Because we are Korean, we have

affiliation.
