Mr. A quit working as a hairdresser because of bullying in the workplace.

[Mr. A/injury victim: I treated myself as an invisible person, and I didn't just tell me to say anything.] I

was diagnosed with an adaptation disorder, a mental illness, due to continued bullying, and I was recognized as an industrial accident and received insurance benefits.

However, much less money came out than expected.

I usually earned over 120,000 won a day, but the daily wage was estimated at 80,000 won.

I had to look at the standards to see why.

We calculated the average earnings by adding up to the last month of being bullied and no guest at all.

Included are months in which vacation pay was not received.

[Mr. A/Industrial Accident Victim: It was so difficult to see something like that (it was calculated incorrectly), and it was so difficult that I could not do without medicine.]

I applied for re-examination twice, but the month that was a problem in calculating the average wage I only received an answer saying that it cannot be excluded.

Eventually, Mr. A even filed a lawsuit with the help of his family.

The court decided that the last month before leaving the company, when wages were greatly reduced due to workplace harassment, was not assigned as a guest, and should be excluded from the calculation of the average wage because it is a special and accidental situation.

Mr. A can only get a decent salary, but he had to suffer from living hardships for more than two years.

[Kim Yong-joon/Attorney: (The Corporation) disapproves if they do not meet the standards they have been customarily doing, and survivors and victims are being driven into the complaint process...

.] The Korea

Labor Welfare Corporation announced to SBS that it will take measures so that special circumstances can be considered when a similar incident occurs in the future.
