Last year, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit conducted a large-scale investigation into the illegal distribution of masks.
As the price of masks jumped to the sky, illegal activities were rampant.
In the process, police discovered a large number of illegal masks that were not approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
At that time, the head of the Intelligent Crime Investigation Chief was General Park Mo, who was resigned from the post of the Gangnam Police Chief on the 25th.
However, a suspicion was raised that General Park had a subordinate at the time asking his wife, a pharmacist, to hand over the mask he had secured.
The police officer's office in charge of the police said, "The contents of police officer Park's inspection included suspicions related to masks," and said that they are checking whether they have obtained unfair profits by removing the mask.
Police say they are still under surveillance and are not in the investigation phase.
General Park did not answer the reporters' questions about the facts.
The team leader, who was known to have been in charge of the mask investigation at the time, was also not contacted.
