Joo Sarang Community located in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.



This is a private facility that cares for a baby left in a'baby box' by parents who cannot afford to raise it.



They can persuade and educate parents so they can bring their children back and help them get adopted if they can't afford it.



However, on the 18th, a report was filed by the police that an 8-day-old baby seemed to have been abused here.



An employee found siferic bruises and scratches on the baby's face.



The abused child was being cared for at the facility after the child's mother left it in this baby box on the 15th.



The staff suspected the volunteers caring for the child at night, but an analysis of CCTV by the police revealed the actual situation of abuse.



It was confirmed that a woman in her 40s, a volunteer at night, holding a child upside down and shaking or pinching.

Police accuse volunteers of child abuse and are investigating the abuse of other children.



The Joo Sarang Community has announced that it will prevent recurrence of child abuse through training for employees and volunteers.



The abused child was scheduled for adoption, but in this case, he was moved to a nearby child care facility for care.



Fortunately, it is also known to be in good shape.
