AstraZeneca vaccine shipped from a domestic production plant yesterday (24th) was sorted and packaged in a distribution warehouse overnight, and it started to be shipped to all over the country.

Reporter Park Soo-jin is out at the site where delivery began.

Reporter Park, when exactly did delivery start?

<Reporter>

Yes, the AstraZeneca vaccine, which arrived here yesterday, started shipping at 5:50 am, a little earlier.

The staff at the distribution center sorted and packaged the vaccines by delivery destination overnight. You can see the white truck behind me.

This truck is a 1 ton refrigerated truck, and it is a vehicle that can be transported at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, which is suitable for storing vaccines.

As you can see, 56 such trucks are being put into the delivery work today. As you can see, the trucks are connected to the dock and the vaccine is distributed to the cargo compartment, and after this work is completed, the vehicles are transferred to 25 areas nationwide, 1,900 health centers and nursing hospitals. We will ship the vaccine.

Fire trucks are also on standby at the site in case of any fire or accident, and patrol cars and military convoy vehicles are deployed in front of and behind transport trucks to accompany them to their destinations.

Where does the vaccine that has started delivery go now, and exactly when does the vaccination start?

<Reporter> When the

vaccine arrives at each public health center and nursing hospital during the day, we will check whether the vaccine is in a safe condition and the quantity is correct.

And full-fledged vaccinations are scheduled to start sequentially from 9 am tomorrow.

In nursing hospitals where doctors work, in-house vaccination is performed within five days, and nursing facilities or rehabilitation facilities are visited by health center medical staff, or subjects visit the public health center to receive vaccination.
