Choi Kang-wook, the leader of the Open Democratic Party, lost a lawsuit for damages against reporters saying that it is not true that he requested a congratulatory call from President Moon Jae-in when he took office last year.

Seong Baek-hyun, the sole judge of the Seoul Central District Court Civil 1005, ruled on the 23rd, saying, "We are dismissing the plaintiff's claim," in a lawsuit for damages that CEO Choi filed against reporters on Media A to pay 10 million won.

Media A previously reported that Congressman Kang-wook Choi's phone call with President Moon immediately after the election of the new party representative was made at the request of Choi first.

Accordingly, CEO Choi filed a lawsuit saying that the report was not true.
