Geeko

The enormous success of

Game of Thrones

on the American channel HBO has apparently convinced the author to continue his collaboration with the American channel.

George RR Martin has indeed signed up as executive producer for a new television series based on the novel by Roger Zelanzy

Roadmarks

.

George RR Martin, however, would not have made any commitment as an author.

The serial adaptation will be primarily the work of Kalinda Vazquez, who previously worked on

The Walking Dead

and

Star Trek: Discovery

.

Overloaded agenda

The news will not necessarily delight

Game of Thrones

fans

who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the new tome for years.

George RR Martin has indeed taken the very bad habit of overloading his agenda.

A new delay would therefore not be ruled out, especially since George RR Martin had already indicated that he would be involved in the production of the new Game of Thrones spin-off series, The House of the Dragon.

"If things go well, I might even be able to take care of the script for a few episodes," the author said a few weeks ago.

George RR Martin won't be the only

Game of Thrones

veteran

embarked on the

adaptation

project

.

Game of Thrones

executive producer

Vince Gerardis also joined the project.

Time travel

Published in 1979,

Roadmarks

has established itself as a science fiction classic.

The book tells the story of several protagonists who discover a route that allows them to travel through time to discover certain secrets of the world, change their lives or modify certain parts of history.

George RR Martin was a close friend of the author, who died in 1995. “Roger was a friend, a mentor, and one of the greatest science fiction writers.

That's why I'm so excited to adapt

Roadmarks

for HBO, ”the author said in an interview.
