This is the first time with a Pfizer vaccine, and this time, 117,000 doses and 58,000 people are delivered to Korea.



This is not a direct contract with Pfizer, but is the first quantity received through KOVAX, an international project for joint vaccine purchase.



This vaccine is targeted by medical professionals who treat patients with COVID-19.

Departing from the Belgian factory and entering through Incheon Airport, it is transported to a distribution center located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, and then delivered to regional vaccination centers.



Due to the nature of keeping it around -70 degrees Celsius, all movement is carried out in a cryogenic refrigeration facility.



It must be thawed before inoculation and used within 5 days after thawing.



On the 26th, the day before the Pfizer vaccination, the Astra vaccination begins, and is suitable for residents and workers under the age of 65 in nursing hospitals and nursing facilities.



The Askrazeneca vaccine, which can be stored at 2 degrees to 8 degrees, is different from Pfizer's vaccine in that the nursing hospital is on-site and the medical staff visits the nursing facility.



With the vaccinations of both vaccines entering the countdown, practical discussions for vaccinations began in earnest.



The medical community, including the quarantine authorities, the medical association, and the hospital association, held a joint committee meeting today (21st) to discuss specific practical preparation plans such as supply and demand for vaccination personnel and equipment deployment.
