The forest fire in Nochusan, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, which started in the afternoon yesterday (20th), extinguished in 18 hours.

The forestry authorities said that 14 helicopters, including two super-sized helicopters, were put on the ground, and 421 personnel and 33 equipment were mobilized to catch the flame at 9:40 am today and are currently monitoring the back light.

It is estimated that 12 hectares of national forests and 120,000 square meters of national forests were burned by this fire, and there was no human injury.

When the fire broke out at around 3:50 yesterday, the forest authorities put 11 helicopters in the air and ground firefighting teams, but the fire area was on a steep slope and a strong wind of 6.2 meters per second made it difficult to extinguish.

The forest authorities will consider the fire started in the farmland near the private house and investigate the exact cause of the fire.
