Baek Ki-wan, director of the Institute for Unification Studies, who has spent his whole life in the democratization movement, unification, and labor movement, passed away today (15th) at 89 years old.



Reporter Jo Yoon-ha looked back on the life of Paik, who raised his voice until the end, dreaming of a world where everyone can live well together.

Paik Ki-wan's life was a fierce struggle against unjust vested interests.



After participating in the campaign against the Korea-Japan talks in 1964, he took the lead in confronting the dictatorship.



In 1974, he was imprisoned for violating emergency measures while leading an anti-restoration campaign.
