Google will soon integrate a dark mode -

The Mountain View firm is testing a new type of display on its search engine;

dark mode.

Officially, Google is already compatible with the latter, but it does not apply everywhere.

This is why when you do a search on the dark version of Google, the results appear on a white background.

But that's about to change.

Google confirmed to The Verge that it is in the process of testing dark mode in its search results.

Thus, when dark mode is activated on a system - from the computer settings, Personalization option> Colors> Dark mode -, Google search results will appear on a black background.

Better late than never

Tests of this new display are underway with several users.

It is difficult to know if and when it will be deployed to all Google users.

"We are always testing new ways to improve our experience for our users, but we have nothing specific to announce at the moment," a spokesperson for the US company told The Verge.

More generally, dark mode seems to be at the heart of the concerns of several large companies.

Twitter has just made changes to the dark mode of its platform, making it much darker.

Same observation on the side of Microsoft which has just reinforced the dark mode of Word.

Changes that should appeal to followers of this display mode.

For others, this may be the opportunity to (re) test it.
