Many people follow the government's guidelines to refrain from moving as much as possible during the Lunar New Year holidays, so the traffic situation is smooth for the Lunar New Year holidays.

Still, as today (12th) is the day of New Year's Day, the car will be pushed a little more than usual.

It is expected to be the most congested around 12:00 noon.

Today, at 7 am on the day of Lunar New Year, traffic is smooth for all sections of the highway.

In the vicinity of the Dangjin Junction on the West Coast Expressway, and in the direction of Mokpo, more and more vehicles are moving in the direction of the Jukjeon Rest Area on the Gyeongbu Expressway, both in Seoul and Busan.

Due to the corona 19 effect, vehicle movement has significantly decreased compared to last year's New Year's Eve, but it is expected to start congestion in both directions from 9 am.

The Korea Expressway Corporation predicted that the largest number of 4.29 million vehicles will move during the Lunar New Year holidays as homecoming and returning vehicles flock today.

As of 7 a.m., it is expected to take 4 hours and 30 minutes from Seoul Tollgate to Busan Tollgate, 3 hours 40 minutes to Mokpo and 2 hours 40 minutes to Gangneung.

The Korea Expressway Corporation predicted that the congestion in the direction of homecoming will reach its peak around 12:00 noon to 1:00, and the congestion will be resolved after 7 pm.

If you travel during the most congestion, you can expect a maximum of 5 hours and 50 minutes from Seoul to Busan.

The traffic congestion will be the most severe from 1:00 to 2:00, which is a little later than this, and the traffic congestion will be resolved from 10:00 p.m.
