All six childcare teachers at Incheon Korean public daycare centers were arrested by the police on charges of abusing elementary students, including children with disabilities, and today (8th) victim parents appealed for support measures, citing specific cases of damage.

Parents of autistic children, who were said to have suffered 148 abuses during their 25-day visit to the hospital, said at a press conference held today in front of the Seo-gu Office in Incheon, "The video of my child's abuse I saw was unimaginable and it was just hell." I was abusing my children, laughing and having fun.”

"The homeroom teacher with a heavier body, 3-4 times the weight of a child under 20kg, swung a large, long cushion in the air and swung it over the child." When I saw him approaching him and being forced to suppress it, I only thought,'I'm not really human,'” he exclaimed.

In addition, "After watching the abuse video, I realized that last summer the homeroom teacher saw my child and said,'You are so pretty, do not cut your long hair', I was trying to drag the child's hair." "I hope that the painful memories will be erased. “I cut my child's hair in one hair at home,” he appealed.

Parents of abused children reported that the child is crying for 2-3 hours each night until falling asleep due to trauma caused by the abuse, and is also doing self-harm behavior, such as throwing himself to the floor.

He added, "(childcare teachers) sat around to grill meat together during lunch time to take care of the children," he said. "The children were sitting together on the mats and watching media videos on their laptops and neglected."

Today's press conference was held by parents of children with disabilities who suffered from child abuse at the Incheon Metropolitan City for the Elimination of Discrimination against the Disabled, the Incheon City General Federation of Disabled People's Associations, the National Federation of Parents with Disabilities, Incheon Branch, Incheon Parents' Association, and Korean public daycare centers in Seo-gu, Incheon.

The mother of the 0-year-old victim said, "The child who couldn't speak was beaten with a diaper, grabbed his head under the chest of drawers, and pushed him in." Insisted.

He added, "While surrounded by several teachers, the child was beaten and lifted by the head," he added. "The other sick child took off his mask and hit his face with a rag because he spilled the coffee he had on his desk."

Organizations with disabilities have argued that more than two weeks have passed since child abuse victims were known through the media, but children who suffered abuse were virtually neglected without even receiving proper treatment support.

They said, "A victim child who has experienced severe abuse has a hard time meeting new people through trauma. They asked for treatment support through an existing psychological treatment center, but the Western-gu office refused to say that it is possible only through a designated treatment institution." I explained.

“The director of the child abuse case and the head of the daycare center, who is accused of aiding the abuse, is still attending the daycare center even after resigning.” In the end, due to the administrative convenience of the Western-gu office, the director's attendance was neglected and victim support became inadequate. I'm done."

He added, "We need to actively support children so that they can go where they want by collecting opinions from families of victims of abuse," he added.

Six childcare teachers in their 20s and 30s at this national and public daycare center in Seo-gu, Incheon, were recently charged with the police for violating the Special Act on the punishment of child abuse crimes.

They are accused of abuse of 10 students aged 1-6 years old, including 5 people diagnosed with autism at daycare centers from November to December of last year.

The head of the daycare center was also accused of not fulfilling the duties of management, supervision and care (violation of the Child Welfare Act) and was investigated by the police.

It is known that there are about 200 suspected abuses that the police have confirmed on closed circuit (CC) TV for two months.
