<Anchor> The

self-employed people in the metropolitan area, who expected that if they opened an additional hour until 10 pm, would increase their customers, were disappointed again.

Let’s hear their voices who are deeply concerned in quarantine and survival.

Reporter Ha Jung-yeon, you are in front of Hongdae.

The owners of pubs and restaurants say it's difficult, right?

Yes, there is less than an hour left until 9pm, the business time limit.

Restaurant and bar owners will soon be ready to close.

The self-employed people I met here sighed at the news of the maintenance of the 9 o'clock business restrictions.

[Kim Min-suk/Bar owner: This one hour may be a thousand units instead of a hundred units for self-employed people and people in a bar like this.]

[Han Jae-woong/Billiard Hall President: The billiard room is actually a dinner business.

Most of them come after work, play games for an hour or two, and do this, but it's frustrating because it doesn't work.]

They

agreed that an

hour in the evening, when sales are concentrated, is directly related to their livelihood.

In addition, unlike non-metropolitan areas, the burden of rent is also high, which is why the damage is more serious.

seems that the voice that it is more difficult to hold on is getting louder.

In response to this situation, some self-employed organizations decided to expand their opening protests after 9 p.m., leaving the store open without accepting customers, in order to speak out against the quarantine guidelines.

The policy is to hold press conferences and picket demonstrations at PC cafes and pubs from tomorrow (7th) to next Tuesday.

On the other hand, self-employed people in the non-metropolitan area, whose business hours were extended by 1 hour, responded that they were breathless.

[Keumseong/Restaurant President (Changwon City, Gyeongnam): You have to go quickly at 8:30, and that's why customers don't come in the evening.

Increasing the business hours by 1 hour is very helpful for sales.]

This business restriction will be maintained until the 14th, a week later.

As expectations for the easing of business restrictions decline, self-employed people are likely to have a tougher Lunar New Year holiday than anyone else.
