Ajine Village, a stray dog shelter located far away from the city center.
It settled here four years ago and became a haven for numerous stray dogs.
More than 220 stray dogs are protected here.

Director Park Jeong-soo, who runs this place with private expenses, even received a presidential citation for his contribution to animal protection.

Amid the steadily increasing number of abandoned animals, the local government-run abandoned dog shelters are euthanized if they cannot find a guardian for more than two weeks.
Therefore, the role of private shelters is growing.
