During the investigation of the'Yakchon 5-geori murder case', police officer Lee Mo, who had been imprisoned for 13 years by accusing a teenage boy as the culprit, appealed against the judgment of compensation.

Mr. Lee was reported to have filed an appeal in the 45th Division of the Civil Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court yesterday (29th).

Mr. Lee was one of the police officers who received false confession for coercion against Mr. Choi at the time of the case, and was judged by the court to pay 20% of the total compensation of 1.3 billion won with Prosecutor Kim Mo.

Prosecutor Kim is a person who unprodicted a suspect who was found to be the real offender after Choi's imprisonment.

Choi was convicted of stabbing and killing Yoo Mo, a taxi driver near Yakchon 5-Fork in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do in 2000, when he was 16 years old, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In 2003, the investigative agency arrested the suspect by acquiring information that the real criminal was separate, but closed the case because there was no physical evidence.

After being released for maturity in 2013, Choi filed for a retrial claiming that he confessed falsely because he was unable to overcome the coercion of the police, and the court innocent to Choi, saying, "The defendant was subjected to harsh acts such as illegal arrest and imprisonment," in 2016, three years later. Sentenced.

On the 13th, the court later admitted the responsibility of the state, police officers, Lee, and prosecutor Kim, and ruled that all 1.3 billion won be paid to Choi.
