As a demolition order was issued to a stray dog shelter in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, more than 200 stray dogs are unable to find a place to go.
According to'Ajine Village', a private abandoned dog shelter in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, this facility recently received prior notice from the city of Gimpo for a corrective order for restoration to its original state.
The city of Gimpo announced that it will issue an order to restore its original state, claiming that the four vinyl houses, fences, and containers used by facility owners are illegal buildings without permission or reporting procedures.
In response, the protection facility is in a position that if the building is demolished, it is difficult for more than 200 abandoned dogs to go nowhere.
Prior to this, a post was posted on the Blue House National Petition bulletin board asking the facility volunteer to protect the shelter.
The facility has appealed that most of the abandoned dogs in the shelter are large dogs, so it is not easy to send them for adoption.
The shelter started with the rescue of a stray dog that was about to be slaughtered in 2010.It was originally operated in Seo-gu, Incheon, but it is known that it collected donations and moved it to its current location in 2018 when it was ordered to be demolished by redevelopment.
