The first people to get the vaccine in Korea are patients and workers in high-risk facilities such as nursing homes.

Seniors 65 years of age or older and adults with chronic diseases are also scheduled to be included as priority vaccinations.

Vaccination sites are vaccination centers using large facilities such as gymnasiums, local public health centers, and designated private hospitals.

Pfizer, Modena vaccines that require cryogenic storage are available at 250 vaccination centers nationwide, and vaccines that can be stored refrigerated like AstraZeneca are administered in the form of vaccinations at general hospitals or visits designated by the government.

It is estimated that about 6,000 people will need to be vaccinated nationwide. In addition to doctors and nurses, people who can mobilize from government departments such as military doctors may be included.

It is expected to include how to store and deliver differently depending on the characteristics of the vaccine, and how to deal with adverse reactions after vaccination.

As the timing of the vaccine introduction has not been confirmed, it seems difficult to announce a specific start date for vaccination.

However, AstraZeneca, which is undergoing approval review from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety from the 4th, is the strongest vaccine that will be vaccinated immediately after introduction.

An official from the quarantine authorities said that approval for the AstraZeneca vaccine is expected before the Lunar New Year holiday.
