prosecution, who is re-investigating the case where Vice Minister of Justice Lee Yong-gu assaulted a taxi driver while drunk as a lawyer, confiscated and searched the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on the morning of the 27th.

About 10 people, including prosecutors and investigators, are being sent to the Chief's Office and the Criminal Division to secure the records of investigations and reports related to Vice Minister Lee Yong-gu.

In particular, it is known that the cell phone of the police officer, who closed the investigation by saying'I will not see it,' of the assault video shown by the taxi driver, was also included in the subject of confiscation.

Vice Minister Lee is accused of assaulting a taxi driver who carried him in front of an apartment in Seocho-gu, Seoul on November 6 last year.

However, the police concluded the internal investigation as a simple assault case because Vice Minister Lee agreed with the driver and the assault video could not be verified.

However, as the prosecutors went on their own investigation, they restored the footage of the assault, and it turned out that five days after the incident in November last year, a taxi driver showed the police an assault video taken with a mobile phone.

Accordingly, the police are in a state of waiting again to determine the situation, such as by placing the police officer on standby and forming its own fact-finding team.

Separately, the prosecution, which is conducting an investigation, will call the officers of the reporting line of the Seocho Police Station, including the investigating police officer, in turn to investigate as soon as the analysis of the seized material is completed.
