The 34th Division of the Civil Agreement of the Seoul High Court ruled on the 27th that 7 victims, including Mr. A, won some of the plaintiffs as in the first trial in an appeal for damages claim filed against Pastor Lee and Manmin Church.
Pastor Lee was charged with sexual assault and harassment of nine members of Manmin Church dozens of times, and was sentenced to 16 years in prison in the Supreme Court in 2019.
Some victims filed a lawsuit for damages in 2018, and the first trial court asked Pastor Lee and Manmin Church to pay 200 million won each to four victims of sexual assault and 160 million won each to three people, a total of 1.28 billion won. Ruled.
In addition, the aunt pastor and believer who spread rumors or disclosed the victims' personal information also ruled that the victims should be paid 10 to 20 million won per person.
Pastor Lee and Manmin Church appealed against the ruling, but the same ruling was issued as the first trial.
