This is the main building of IEM International School's dormitory and classrooms.

From the 1st basement floor to the 5th floor above ground, the building was covered with viruses.

Viruses came out from tables, desks, doorknobs, as well as water purifiers and sterilizers.

Contamination was confirmed in 26 of the 41 sites that were sampled.

The CEO of IM Mission issued a statement late.

“When I first had a fever, I thought it could be a cold, so I couldn't respond early,” he apologized.

[Michael Cho/IM Missionary Representative: If I did something wrong, I was sorry if I had to be scolded, so I decided to do so.] As for the

first source of infection, it was assumed that there were no symptoms among freshmen, but the quarantine authorities think differently.

It is believed that the infection may have spread between enrolled students and MTS students who were admitted more than six days earlier than freshmen.

[Jeong Hae-gyo/Daejeon City Health and Welfare Bureau Director: (Gene amplification value) The average number of enrolled students was 1 higher. Wouldn't it be a little bit more probable that current students think they were infected first... ] The

mission side also said that the students had little external contact, but it was divided into four buildings, and there was an eyewitness report that the students used various stores nearby.

[Neighboring residents: I went to the mart around lunchtime, I went here and there, so I went through the crosswalk.]

Daejeon

City

decided to accuse the representative of the mission for violating the quarantine rules.

While the number of IEM-related confirmed cases increased to 172, two infections were also found at the TCS facility in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do related to the mission.
