The Daejeon High Court said it would hold an appeal hearing on the 41-year-old Sung-Mo, who was handed over to trial on charges of murder, frequent child abuse, and special injuries.
Sung was accused of confining the son of his cohabitation in his home in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do in June of last year in a travel bag 50 cm wide and 71.5 cm wide and 29 cm wide for about 3 hours. .
In this case, which was sent by the police on charges of child abuse and death, the prosecution applied the charges of murder.
The prosecution has sought life imprisonment for a defendant sentenced to 22 years in prison at the first trial.
