Microsoft is reversing the price increase announced on Friday for Xbox Live Gold subscriptions.
The decision also applies to the proposed price changes in the Netherlands, a spokesperson on behalf of the company told NU.nl on Saturday.
With Xbox Live Gold, players can play games online with each other.
Subscribers also get free games every month.
In the Netherlands, the price of a subscription would increase by 2 euros to 8.99 euros per month.
A quarterly subscription would be 4 euros more expensive: 23.99 euros.
So that will not happen.
Microsoft also announced on Friday that it will be possible to take out a six-month subscription in the Netherlands.
Six months of Xbox Live Gold would cost EUR 47.99.
Whether that price will stand is unclear: the Microsoft spokesperson is asking this for NU.nl.
In addition, Microsoft is announcing that free Xbox games no longer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
This adjustment will be implemented "in the coming months", but the spokesperson could not say exactly when.
