A new game is about to be released on Game Boy -

Geeko

While all eyes are on the next-gen consoles, others continue to look back.

This is particularly the case of the developer Dana Puch of the company Greenboy Games.

The latter is preparing to release a new video game called

The Shapeshifter

on Game Boy, while the last official release on this portable console dates back to 1999.

A somewhat crazy project which should appeal to fans of old-fashioned consoles and retrogaming.

Moreover, those who would be seduced by the idea can take part in the project by participating in the crowdfunding campaign launched on Kickstarter.

With a target of 6000 euros reached in less than 12 hours, we can say that the campaign is a success.

At the time of this writing, the prize pool exceeded 10,000 euros.

An amount that should continue to grow over the next 58 days in the countryside.

Maybe even on NES

The pot will be used to finance the development of the game, but especially to manufacture Game Boy cartridges.

These will be compatible with the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Super Game Boy, but also the Analogue Pocket.

It will even be possible to afford a digital version of The Shapeshifter game.

And if the jackpot exceeds 40,000 euros, the title will be worn on the NES.

Speaking of the game,

The Shapeshifter has

us play a young boy named Elliot.

This ordinary hero will be embarked on an epic adventure, after an elf asks him for his help in saving his world from the curse of an evil wizard.

To help him, the elf will offer him a power that will allow him to take the appearance of any animal he meets.

Adventure and nostalgia on the program.
