Twenty-seven students were arrested during the night from Monday to Tuesday while they were participating in a clandestine party in an apartment in downtown Reims.

The young people were partying without barrier or mask gestures and in defiance of the curfew rules.

"The tenant of the apartment was taken into custody for endangering the lives of others," said Reims prosecutor Matthieu Bourrette and "most of the other students were fined for public intoxication".

The Reims national police intervened at around 3:30 am Tuesday morning in a small 40m2 apartment on rue Gambetta following a complaint from neighbors for nighttime noise.

She had found 27 students from the Reims Neoma business school and the Sciences-Po Reims campus partying without barrier or mask gestures and in defiance of the curfew rules.
