<Reporter> The

sentence of repatriation for the destruction of Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who was handed over to the trial for bribing former President Park Geun-hye and Choi Seo-won, who was a non-seonseed, will be held from 2 pm today.

Vice-Chairman Lee was sentenced to five years in prison in the first trial and detained by court, but in the second trial, he was sentenced to probation and released.

This is because the first trial judged the bribery amount as 8.6 billion won, while the second trial judged 5 billion won as innocent.

However, the Supreme Court sent the ruling back to the effect of bribing the 5 billion won that the second trial was deemed innocent.

Therefore, it seems that it will be decided whether the sentence is suspended or imprisoned, depending on the amount of bribery that the court judges for the revocation and repatriation today.

The basic sentencing criterion for bribes of 100 million won or more is from 2 years and 6 months to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment. If the source of the bribe money is the money, you can also be sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Probation becomes difficult if the court sentenced you to five years or more in prison.

Another variable in determining the sentence is the activities of the Samsung Compliance Committee.

On this basis, Vice Chairman Lee insists that the sentence be minimized, and as the court announced its intention to consider, the sentence of probation is not impossible at all.

However, if this is the case, it is likely to face fierce criticism of the ruling to look after the chaebol.
