, has been tried again as the Supreme Court returned the case saying that some charges should be considered guilty.

In other words, since the Supreme Court has already found all convictions for bribery, the most important issue today (18th) was whether the sentence would be imprisonment or probation.

Vice-Chairman Lee apologized to the public last year for not handing over management rights to the children, and even created a compliance committee at Samsung, but was finally sentenced to jail and arrested again.

Reporter Junwoo Bae analyzed the background.

Samsung did not hide their expectations for the sentence of probation enough to say that they would reveal their feelings after the sentence was over.

The corner I believed was the Samsung Compliance Committee.

From the beginning of the ruling and repatriation trial, the judiciary publicly said, “It is necessary to establish a compliance system that will also be afraid of the total number of companies,” and “we will consider this activity in the sentence of Lee Vice Chairman.

The Samsung Compliance Committee was launched in February of last year despite fierce accusations that the judges are considering a suspended sentence.

Vice-Chairman Lee also appealed to the public to apologize and appeal.

I am not going to hand over the management rights of the company to my children.]

Even after that, Vice Chairman Lee analyzed and submitted several misconduct at the group level in the past, but the conclusion of the judge was different from Samsung’s expectations.

The Justice Department determined that the effectiveness of the Compliance Committee's activities did not reach the level of probation.

He said, "It has sincerely demonstrated the will of compliance management," but devalued the activities of the Compliance Committee, saying, "It is not enough to prevent and monitor new risks."

The court just returned the bribe and took account of the difficulty of rejecting the president's request.

So, even though the minimum sentence that can be sentenced is five years in prison, he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, which is half of the sentence.
