Starting today (18th), you can drink coffee in the cafe, and adults can use the gym on a limited basis.

Only available until 9pm.

However, some local governments announced that they would extend their business hours to 11 p.m. and then withdrew it.

This is reporter Ahn Hee-jae.

<Reporter> As a

new quarantine measure, it is possible to eat coffee and desserts in cafe stores starting today.

It was only possible to take out orders, but now you can stay for up to an hour per guest.

Multi-use facilities such as karaoke rooms and gyms, which have been banned for over a month, are also reopening.

In the case of karaoke, rooms used by guests can be re-used after 30 minutes after disinfection, and coin karaoke rooms should be used by only one person per room.

The gym shower room is still unavailable, and vigorous group exercises such as Zumbana aerobics, which have high risk of group infection, are also prohibited.

The number of users is limited and the guidelines for closing after 9pm are maintained, but the expectations of the owners are not small.

From the standpoint of operation, it will be much more convenient.]

Contrary to the government policy, some local governments, such as Daegu Metropolitan City, decided to allow business until 11 pm and then withdrew it.

This is because concerns have been raised that the social distancing effect may decrease due to the ballooning effect in the area where business is allowed after 9pm.

The quarantine authorities said there was no prior consultation, but Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin said he was sorry for the confusion and heartache, but said he was sorry to announce that the decision was made according to the government's procedures and guidelines, as if it had made a difference with the quarantine authorities.
