Windows 10: Microsoft publishes an update fixing 72 bugs -

Geeko

Windows 10 is once again affected by a bug, following an update.

Several users have indeed reported that their computer restarted randomly, without any intervention on their part.

A bug that is not new, the problem was already reported to Microsoft last October, some time after the release of the problematic update (20H2).

The problem was manifested by the appearance of a system window telling users that the machine would restart in a minute.

So users only had 60 seconds to save their work.

In some cases, the computer was not recording user progress, resulting in data loss.

The bug that appeared with the October update was therefore quite annoying.

At the time, the Redmond firm claimed that the problem was based on the incompatibility of the October update with some OS, as well as two features: Local Security Authority Process and MMC consoles.

But until then, no effective solution had been proposed.

Microsoft is finally reacting

After several months of waiting, Microsoft still decided to offer a fix to users who are victims of untimely and random reboots, reports Windows Latest.

The patch is included in the most recent updates for Windows 10. If your computer restarts without asking your advice, installing the latest updates offered by Microsoft could be life saving.

The American firm ensures that the most recent version of Windows 10 version 20H2 is free of bugs.

At the same time, Microsoft also announced that a patch correcting the deleted passwords issue is in development.

In addition to unwanted restarts, some Windows 10 users have indeed reported that their computer automatically deleted their login sessions from websites after a restart of their device.

A less annoying problem than the problem described above, but which is still annoying.

The hotfix is available to members of the Windows Insider program and is expected to be rolled out to the general public very soon.
