Around 3 am, the gendarmes of Méru had been called by the companion of this man described as "depressed, alcoholic and violent".

The suspect got into his car and first tried to run into the firefighters also called to intervene.

It was finally the police car that he violently collided with, killing himself instantly.

The three soldiers on board were injured and hospitalized in Beauvais.

They suffer from multiple contusions and possible fractures, according to information collected by Europe 1.
