Last week passed the National Assembly amid controversy that the serious disaster punishment law enacted to prevent the same accidents as the late Kim Yong-gyun has gone out of shape.

Accidents followed yesterday (10th) and today at industrial sites.

Two people died in an accident where they got caught in a mechanical installation while working.

This is KBC reporter Jaehyun Kim.

Work is in full swing to rescue workers trapped in the crusher.

[One, two, three.

One, two, three.

One, two, three.] A

woman in her 50s got caught in a machine during the shredding work at a plastic recycling plant located in Pyeongdong Industrial Complex in Gwangju around 12:30 today.

The 119 rescue team worked on the rescue, but they died.

[Kwon Osan/Metals Union Gwangju Jeonnam Branch Director of Labor Safety and Health: If you cut this too tangled, it seems like an accident occurred while working in a situation where there is always danger.] A

similar accident occurred yesterday evening at a workplace located in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex. I did.

A male worker in his thirties who was in charge of mechanical maintenance at a bituminous coal storage company was trapped in a coal transport facility and died.

This man was in a partner company and was paired up with a colleague to inspect the machine and had an accident.

[Police officials: The machine broke down, so you stopped the machine to check the faulty part, but the accident occurred because the machine started, and we are investigating to find out the cause of that part.]

It is pointed out that the Severe Disaster Act will be implemented in earnest from next year, but without fundamental improvements to the poor working environment, the terrible vicious cycle will inevitably be repeated.
