Twitter

has decided to permanently suspend the account of the president of the

United States, Donald Trump.

This was announced by the bird's own social network in a blog post in which it assures that this measure has been taken "due to the risk of new incitements to violence."

This is unprecedented news and it occurs three days after the assault on the Capitol led by the followers of January 6.

"In the context of the terrible events of this week, we have left this Wednesday that new violations of the rules of Twitter could lead to these events."

Facts that have resulted in the fact that, for the first time in history, an incumbent president has his social media accounts censored.

However, this is not the first time that Twitter has made exceptions for Donald Trump's accounts.

As the electoral results became known in the different states, the president began to send tweets in which he made accusations of fraud.

Twitter reacted quickly to the president's words and began to limit the scope of his tweets in different ways: either with an apostille indicating that the message might not be true, or by preventing his followers from being able to retweet (but it did allow him to quote his tweets) or preventing responses to your tweets.
