Micro-LEDs not only sting the eyes, but also the wallet.

As CES, the largest exhibition dedicated to new technologies, approaches, Samsung has just announced the marketing of new televisions equipped with micro-Led technology, a display technology that is still very little used which nevertheless offers many advantages. compared to traditional LEDs.

Micro-LEDs are indeed self-illuminating, producing larger color samples and more realistic luminosity.

Beyond the advantages that this new technology represents, it is above all the price at which the first Samsung television was marketed that surprised: $ 156,000.

At this price, it was only sold in Korea.

And again, given the particularly imposing dimensions of the machine (110 inches), it must not have sold much ...

This is why Samsung has announced the upcoming marketing of two new models of 99 and 88 inches.

If they are indeed smaller, it still makes sacred screens.

And their price should be up to par.

Samsung is not saying anything at the moment.

We will certainly have to wait for the launch of CES to discover the amount of new Samsung micro-Led screens.

After QLED, Neo QLED

At the same time, the Korean manufacturer announced the arrival of Neo QLed display technology on 8K and 4K models.

This technology is based on the integration of mini-LEDs which offer greater levels of light and contrast, while consuming less energy.

These new televisions also include a Neo Quantum processor, optimized especially for the Neo Qled.

We can hope that these televisions are more accessible than those equipped with micro-Led panels, but again, Samsung has not disclosed its prices.

It should be noted that all of Samsung's new 2021 televisions will be delivered with a solar-powered remote control.

The latter can obviously be recharged thanks to indoor and outdoor light sources, but also via a USB cable.

The objective of the Korean manufacturer is to limit the use of batteries and therefore to be more ecological.
