There have been three reports of suspicion that Jeong In-yi appears to be suffering from violence and abuse at home.

First, in May of last year, a childcare center suspected bruising marks on small bodies, and in June, the following month, a local resident reported that a child was left alone in a car in hot weather.

And in September, a pediatrician reported suspected malnutrition.

Whenever it was reported, the police were dispatched, but nothing helped.

It was because there was not enough evidence to see it as abuse, and because of the opposition from adoptive parents.

There have been three opportunities to save a young life, but no one in our society has saved Jeong In.

The police said they would hold a disciplinary committee for the employees who were dispatched at the time, but the voices of anger that this would not have happened if they paid more attention to it are not easily subsided.

This is Hong Young-jae.

<Reporter> The

police conducted an investigation by the supervisory service and imposed warnings and warnings on 7 employees who were in charge of making the first and second reports.

We have entered a procedure to impose severe disciplinary action on only five employees of the Seoul Yangcheon Police Station who were involved in the last report.

The police mobilized together with an expert from a child protection agency for every three reports, and their adoptive parents gave absurd explanations such as'they got bruised while doing massage' about the wound.

[Jung In Yang's father: I heard a thumping sound, and when I went there, I was playing with the first and second on the sofa, and then they were on the floor to see if the second fell.]

Nevertheless, the police did not conduct further investigations because of their strong opposition from their adoptive parents.

They also excused that they trusted the judgment of the child protection agency that went to the field together.

It was also revealed that information was not exchanged between the police and child protection agencies during the inspection process.

At the time of the second report that'Jeong In-i was trapped in a vehicle' in June, the police claimed that they were not able to obtain evidence videos such as cctv due to a late notification from the child protection agency.

In response, the child protection agency refuted that it notified the police the day after the report was received.

In the midst of this, singers, actors, and celebrities such as BTS member Jimin joined the ranks in commemoration of Jung In-yi, and a statement to strict punishment by applying murder crimes to foster parents and court complaints are relayed.
