"These facts will be part of the ongoing investigation," the Melun prosecutor's office told AFP, indicating that a suspect was arrested and then released last week and that "the investigation is continuing".

"The prefect condemns with the greatest firmness these unspeakable acts. Police and gendarmerie are mobilized. The perpetrators will not go unpunished," said the prefecture on its Twitter account.
