The convertible LC 500 Cabriolet is based on the LC 500 Coupé, but it is not a copy. The precise design of the flexible, lightweight, retractable roof of the LC 500 Cabriolet allows for the elegant appearance of the vehicle that also distinguishes its coupe counterpart.

The new LC 500 Cabriolet will be available in the UAE in 11 options of exterior paint colors, at a price of AED 465,000.

Only 100 cars of the flagship LC 500 Cabriolet will be launched in the world in a special edition color;

It is Structural Blue metallic with Marina Blue on the inside, and it will be available at Al-Futtaim Lexus in the UAE, priced at AED 495,000.

Exterior design - a distinctive imprint of the Lexus brand The

new 2021 LC 500 Cabriolet comes with a striking design and a unique front grille that extends across the front of the car.

Its chrome-plated stripes along the edges reflect traditional Japanese sword arts.

Its unique combinations of lights at night are among the coolest features of this new car, as its rear lights were inspired by the colors of combustion in powerful jet engines, while the narrow front lights with three-projection LED technology feature a pioneering design, and their size is only half the size of their traditional counterparts.

Enhancing structural rigidity was a top priority, and engineers created an all-new torsion box at the rear.

And with a new suspension tower strut and V-pillar, the box helps provide improved stiffness, stability control and linear response.

The stiffness of the base structure is improved by repositioning the various structural pillars, which include additional reinforcement under the front and center pillars of the vehicle.

The strength of this structure is increased thanks to the reliance on laser welding technology, and the use of steel with high resistance to tensile stress in the structure.

The LC 500 Cabriolet comes standard with large 21-inch alloy wheels.

The car has been equipped with tires reinforced with Run Flat technology, which eliminates the need for a spare tire, and allows engineers to shorten the overhanging rear section and reduce additional weight.

The LC 500 Convertible is available in 11 exterior color options including White Nova, Dark Gray, Sonic Silver, Sonic Titanium, Blazing Carnelian and Charcoal Black. Graphite Black, Radiant Red, Naples Yellow, Terrane Khaki and Ocean Blue.

The convertible roof feature The

LC Cabriolet shines with a design based on a flexible retractable roof, which allowed engineers to focus on highlighting its elegant features as a convertible car without significantly affecting the cabin or trunk space as it happens when relying on a hardened roof that has a heavy weight and consumes more space.

This vehicle also features an innovative folding mechanism that includes a special hood that covers the boot when the roof is exposed.

The coupé lines are highlighted by the design of the convertible, and in a style unique to Japanese design.

The smooth movement of the ceiling is inspired by the three-step movement of Japanese calligraphy consisting of the movement of a sketch brush to the paper;

Movement towards the right;

Then the stroke brush stops moving.

The roof can be opened or closed while the vehicle is being driven at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour.

One striking aspect is the time this process takes: 15 seconds to open, 16 seconds to close;

Based on surrounding environment factors.

Once closed, the boot lid hides the roof storage space, providing the elements with complete protection from the elements.

The trunk accentuates the LC Cabriolet with a slightly "raised" design, while the grille roof has been widened laterally to enhance the vehicle's low and wide outlook.

A central brake light is complemented by the trunk lid.

And it has been relying on components of magnesium and aluminum in the manufacture of the roof joints and the support structure in the car, which contributed to reducing its weight and enhancing its design in achieving a low center of gravity.

The roof material has been carefully selected and manufactured to help ensure optimum tension, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve sound insulation.

The flexible retractable roof is designed with four layers, three of which are fabric and the fourth is of sound-absorbing material.

It was distinguished by its ability to keep the roofline of a coupe without loosening the support frame.

Elegantly and smoothly, the hydraulic system opens and closes the roof.

The system features an electromagnetic valve to control the hydraulic pressure generated by the hydraulic pump to extend or contract the tension arc cylinders, the main roof and the roof cover.

Operating reliability and quietness were triple-tested.

Unparalleled Pleasure

Performance

The powerful V8, five-liter naturally-aspirated engine delivers a perfect waste for motoring enthusiasts and unparalleled power in the new Lexus LC 500 Cabriolet.

The convertible is also equipped with a front-wheel-drive engine that is identical to that of the LC Coupé.

This engine produces 471 hp at 7,100 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm, aided by a 10-speed direct transmission.

The LC Cabriolet accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.7 seconds, with its top speed electronically limited to a maximum of 270 km / h.

Engineers have also paid special attention to the LC Cabriolet's suspension, which has been tuned specifically to cope with the slight weight changes between the coupe and cabriolet models.

From its springs and dampers, to its liners and the unique Yamaha Performance Damper placed transversely in the rear, the convertible's special component design helps enhance and ensure comfortable and smooth performance on the road.

The weight reduction without the spring effect of the front suspension improves the overall cadence;

The weight at the rear has also been reduced by using lightweight cast aluminum to build the suspension tower pillar.

The Adaptive Variable Suspension is optimized to match the character of the convertible.

This system continues to adjust damping control in response to driving operation and road surface conditions, with the ability to adapt to 650 different levels of damping forces.

In comparison to the coupe model, the adaptive variable suspension has been repositioned and moved from the top of the shock absorber system to the underside of the shock absorber system's body under the spring.

Multimedia updates

Lexus engineers designed the interior to provide an ideal experience for all occupants of the car, as the cabin is designed in a way that reduces wind noise thanks to the unique shape of the lower lines and the rear components that prevent wind from entering the car.

The standard, transparent, polycarbonate wind deflector plays a role in restricting the entry of unwanted air into the cabin at low speeds, such as when driving in the city;

The standard windshield provides an enhanced cabin experience while driving at high speeds, as is the case on the highways, for conversations in comfort despite the exposed roof.

It is noteworthy that the Active Noise Control system combines the properties of sound insulation and noise absorption, which prevents unwanted sounds from entering the cabin.

The LC 500 Cabriolet features a high-definition 10.3-inch multi-media screen with split-screen functionality, and provides instant and synchronized access to the 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, climate control and other systems.

And each audio system is subject to fine tuning in the convertible by relying on an equalization system based on the driving situation with the roof either uncovered or closed.

The car is equipped with Android Auto ™ and Apple CarPlay®, which allows Android and Apple users to browse the interface of these devices on the multimedia screen.

There is also a display screen on the dashboard that shows the position of the roof in detail during the detection and closing stages, as well as warning messages confirming the status of the retractable roof, noting that the automatic window control system is connected to the movement of the roof, allowing the entire car to be detected with one click of a button.

Regardless of the weather, the LC 500 Cabriolet convertible is designed with a heating and air conditioning system that adjusts the temperature whether the roof is up or down.

Depending on the exterior paint color chosen, the LC 500 Cabriolet is available in three interior colors: Black, Flare Red and Ocher.

The flexible and retractable roof comes in two colors: Black and Sand.

Highest Standard Safety Technology

All LC 500 vehicles, including the new LC Cabriolet, come equipped with the Lexus Safety System +, which includes Lane Departure Alert and Lane Keep Assist.

All new cars also include the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and other features, including Frontal Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking.

This car also includes dynamic cruise control supported by radar at all speeds, in addition to the Intelligent High Beam system, which turns on the high beam automatically when the road is empty of cars and turns it off temporarily when the presence of other cars is detected by the front lights. Or its background.

The LC500 Cabriolet includes a Blind Spot Monitor and side mirrors with BSM Indicator.

The LC Cabriolet also features additional safety features, including an active roll-up rail system designed to operate in the event of a rollover.

But when these bars are not in operation, they are hidden in order to preserve the beauty of the convertible.
