overturned fishing boat is floating on the sea.

Marine officers are urgently dispatched, but inclement weather is not easy to approach.

It was about 7:30 yesterday that the 39-ton trawl fishing boat Myeong Min-ho, shipped from Jeju-si Hallim, was overturned.

The Jeju Coast Guard dispatched helicopters and security ships to the site and found the ship at around 9 p.m.

The survival of the crew was also confirmed.

There were four Koreans and three Indonesian sailors on board Myeong Min-ho, and when I knocked on the hull, I heard a response from the inside.

In particular, until about 3 a.m., we could continue to check whether we survived or not through cell phone calls.

[Marine officials: How is the current state?

Ask, did you hear a sound if you hit the hull in the middle?

They say that they heard it.]

But after that, it was a problem.

It was pushed by high waves and crashed into the breakwater of Jeju Port and sank.

Search and rescue are also struggling.

At the time of discovery, it was difficult to enter the hull due to inclement weather and nets on fishing boats. Currently, bad conditions continue, such as strong winds of 12 to 20 meters per second and high waves of 4 to 5 meters per second in the accident sea area.

[Lee Cheon-sik/Jeju Regional Maritime Police Agency Security and Safety Manager: We are having a lot of difficulty in the search, and we will do our best to find the missing person in a short time.] According to the

international manual, the golden time for survival in the current weather is up to 33 hours.

The Coast Guard plans to make full use of its available resources to search for missing persons.
