The number of COVID-19 outbreaks in eastern detention centers in Seoul continues to increase.
According to the Ministry of Justice, as of today (30th) 0 o'clock, a total of 792 confirmed cases of Corona 19 related to the Eastern Detention Center.
Of these, there are 771 prisoners and 21 prison staff.
The number of detainees and employees who were diagnosed with Corona 19 at correctional facilities nationwide, including those related to the Seoul Eastern Detention Center, totaled 837 people, up 37 from yesterday, and the cumulative death toll is 1.
As the number of confirmed cases related to the eastern detention center continues to increase, the correctional authorities and quarantine authorities today decided to conduct a fourth full-scale investigation of the eastern detention center staff and prisoners.
