Incheon City, Yonsei University, and Songdo International Complex Development signed an agreement for the second phase of the Yonsei University International Campus and started to build hospitals and research facilities.

First, Songdo Severance Hospital with more than 500 beds is expected to be built by 2026.

The agreement also includes the creation of Yonsei Science Park, which conducts research on convergence education and startup ventures, and attracting more than 1,000 researchers, including graduate students.

[Park Namchun/Incheon Mayor: If the contents of Yonsei Science Park are well filled, tangible results will appear soon and Incheon will be able to develop even more.] The

financial resources necessary for the campus construction are obtained through apartment and residential complex development, etc. We support using proceeds.

Considering that hospital construction has been delayed so far, the agreement included a conditional redemption of land provided to universities if Yonsei University fails to meet the start and completion date of the hospital.
