'Mr. Long Legs', who has donated a large amount of money every year anonymously, announced that this year will be the last time to donate.
Yesterday (22nd) afternoon, a phone call came to the Daegu Social Welfare Community Chest of Korea office in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu.
The man who said "Let's have dinner together" over the phone was the long-legged uncle who contacted me every year at this time of year.
This man, who visited the Daegu Fundraising Association for the first time in January 2012 and gave 100 million won anonymously, made '10 years of anonymous donation' as a promise to himself.
Since then, he has delivered 120 million won each year until 2018, earning him the nickname of'Mr. Long Legs', and last year, he delivered more than 20 million won with a memo saying, "I'm sorry to share it."
However, this year, the long-legged uncle and his wife gave out an envelope with a check and memo worth more than 5,000,000, making it difficult to communicate.
"I am going to stop donating anonymously this time. It's been 10 years since I promised. (Omitted) I feel a lot of joy and happiness to share, and I am very grateful for learning. Thank you."
Long-legged uncle lost his father and played the most role early, and after marriage, he started a family in a single room, but it is known that he did not forget to share a third of his income with marginalized neighbors.
