Seoul Central District Court conducts a first trial sentence for Professor Kyung-Shim Chung of Dongyang University at 2 pm today.

Earlier, the prosecution applied 15 criminal charges against Professor Chung last year and handed it over to trial.

There are three main issues.

First of all, the prosecution suspects that Professor Chung has made a false career document for her daughter and then used it in the medical school admissions process.

In particular, the Tong Yang University citation was forged, and the prosecution judges that various career certificates issued by various universities are also false specifications.

In response, Professor Jeong is confronting that it is not true that the citation is forged, and some of the documents of his/her career have been exaggerated, but it is not as false as he has actually worked.

The prosecution believes that Professor Jeong invested 1 billion won through private equity manager Kolink PE instead of direct investment in order to avoid the ethics regulations for public officials that apply to former Attorney General Cho Kook, a high-ranking public official.

On the other hand, Professor Jeong admitted that the transaction was partially acknowledged, but it was not an illegal investment because he exchanged help with acquaintances.

The suspicion of Professor Jeong's attempt to destroy evidence in preparation for an investigation by the prosecution is another issue that will determine Professor Chung's guilt or innocence.

According to the court's first judgment in one year and two months, one of the prosecution and Professor Chung's side is expected to suffer fatal injuries.
