While it was pointed out that the securing of the Corona 19 vaccine was slower than that of overseas advanced countries and supplies were insufficient, an infectious disease specialist made a statement.

Lee Jae-gap, professor of infectious medicine at Hallym University's Gangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, posted on his Facebook page, saying, "Even if you're really good, don't take seconds in difficult situations."

Professor Lee said,

"The countries where vaccination has begun are countries that have already been involved in the vaccine research stage or have paid some money by purchasing it in advance with a huge budget," said

Professor

Lee. "Korea is a country that has no legal or budget basis for pre-purchasing vaccines."

Said.

At the same time, I pointed out what happened during the last swine flu.

They developed a domestic vaccine and made a sufficient amount, but when the virus outbreak quickly subsided, they said that they had'overspended the budget' over the remaining vaccine, and disciplined public officials during the state administration audit, and lawmakers were raging.

Professor Lee said, "I am fortunate to have secured 44 million people (vaccines) in such a situation where the administration and budget are insufficient."

In addition, he said, "It's not about blame, it's about creating conditions to do well."

Earlier, the government announced plans to pre-purchase the corona19 vaccine for 44 million people.

At the Corona 19 vaccine and treatment situation check meeting, which was held for the first time yesterday (16th), Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said that he would inoculate the vaccine pre-purchased from the first quarter of next year and actively devise a plan to secure additional vaccines.
