Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, who was punished for two months of suspension, said he would take legal action to correct his mistakes according to the constitution and laws.

The former prosecutor general also issued a statement today (16th) saying that there is a problem with the disciplinary process, and there are movements of group opposition within the prosecution.

Prosecutor General Yoon Suk-yeol immediately announced the legal response policy as the results of the disciplinary committee resolution came out.

In a statement sent through a special attorney, he said, "I will correct my mistakes according to the procedures set forth in the Constitution and the law," saying, "Illegal procedures and unreasonable actions were taken to expel the prosecutor general on a term basis."

The former prosecutor general also issued a joint statement and pointed out the illegality of the disciplinary process.

Nine former presidents, including Moon Moo-il, Kim Soo-nam, and Kim Jin-tae, said, "There is too much concern that it will be the beginning of a threat to the democracy and rule of law that the people have been struggling to build." I am concerned that it may be a disturbing factor,” he said.

The voice of criticism is growing even within the prosecution.

On the 24th of last month, when Minister Choo Mi-ae excluded Yoon from the job, most of the prosecutors at the front offices across the country made a criticism statement.

The vice-president prosecutors of the 35th Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office posted a message on the prosecution's internal network this afternoon, arguing that "there is a serious flaw in the overall disciplinary procedure for President Yoon, and the procedural process emphasized by the president has become meaningless."

The aftermath of the disciplinary decision is expected to lead to internal opposition at the prosecution, along with a court dispute over the reasons for the disciplinary action and the legitimacy of the procedure.
