As the spread of Corona 19 in the metropolitan area is getting stronger, from the 15th, all classes in elementary schools and kindergartens in downtown Seoul will be converted to remote classes.

In consultation with the Ministry of Education, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education decided to conduct distance classes for all kindergartens, elementary schools and special schools from the 15th to the 31st.

Middle and high schools in downtown Seoul are already offering remote classes from the 7th.

The middle and high school distance classes were originally until the 18th, but were extended by 10 days to the 28th.

The full distance class is a measure implemented during the 3rd step of social distancing, and while 2.5 steps are being applied in Seoul and the metropolitan area, measures corresponding to the 3rd step of distancing were preemptively taken.

The Office of Education has a policy to operate care classes and support distance classes in accordance with emergency care in preparation for the care gap caused by distance classes in elementary and special schools.
