Child rape criminal Jo Doo-soon is released today (12th) after finishing her 12-year prison term.

We connect to reporters who are out of Seoul Southern Prison.

Reporter Baekwoon, did Jo Doo-soon leave the prison right now?

<Reporter>

Yes, as you can see behind me now, Jo Doo-soon is getting out of the southern prison by riding an official vehicle provided by the prison.

Most of the prisoners return home by public transport or private vehicle, but Cho Doo-soon used an official vehicle unlike other prisoners.

This is because there is a high social interest and there is a risk of conflict with citizens while using public transportation.

Citizens such as YouTubers as well as reporters gathered from dawn on the site.

Before leaving the prison, Jo Doo-soon attached an electronic anklet and moved to the Ansan Probation Office in Gyeonggi-do.

have been complaining about anxiety. How is Cho Doo-soon now managed and supervised?

<Reporter>

Normally, one probation officer supervises about 15 sex offenders, and the government has designated a manager who is in charge of only one Cho Doo-soon.

Doo-soon Cho reports his life plan to the probation officer on a weekly basis, and must meet at least four times a week.

The prosecution previously requested the court for additional compliance matters, with the aim of prohibiting drinking alcohol and going out at certain times, but the court requested the prosecution to clarify the circumstances in which the compliance should be added.

The Ministry of Justice plans to manage and supervise sex offenders based on stricter standards for the time being, as sex offenders are obligated to faithfully follow the orders of probation officers.

Ansan city also installed additional CCTVs near the residence of Jo Doo-soon, and hired 12 petition police officers, including martial arts criminals, to patrol 24 hours a day.
